SUMMERSIDE, PE – The City of Summerside is proud to announce the launch of the Summerside Vulnerable Populations Community Grant, aimed at providing critical support to organizations dedicated to serving vulnerable residents within our community.
In recognition of the diverse needs of Summerside's population, the grant offers financial assistance of up to $2,500.00 per initiative. Eligible applicants include Registered Not for Profit Organizations, as well as prospective organizations seeking to achieve Registered Not for Profit status.
"The Summerside Vulnerable Populations Community Grant reflects our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community," said Mayor Dan Kutcher of the City of Summerside. "By providing financial resources to on-the-ground organizations, we aim to address the unique challenges faced by vulnerable populations, including seniors, youth, and individuals impacted by the high cost of living."
Vulnerable populations encompass a broad spectrum of individuals who may face barriers to accessing essential services and opportunities. The grant's inclusive definition ensures that all residents in need are considered and supported.
The grant period is currently open and will continue until funds are exhausted. Interested organizations are invited to apply by submitting their applications via email to [email protected]. Applications must include the organization's name, Not for Profit business number, and a brief description of the proposed use of funds in 400 words or less.
"The Summerside Vulnerable Populations Community Grant is a testament to our city's dedication to fostering a more inclusive and resilient community for all," added Mayor Kutcher. "We encourage all eligible organizations to take advantage of this opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our vulnerable residents."
